This blow-up bar doesn’t involved bikers and explosives, but it will definitely be just as fun!

A giant inflatable bar!!!!!!
What more do we need to say?

Let’s face it- most art openings and festivals are often as much a social event as they are about seeing the art.  In Esky’s case instead of the art trying to compete with the bar, this art installation is the bar.

That’s right! Esky is a bar, a portable one to be precise (hence using the colloquial name for “portable cooler box”!) This nomadic, inflatable, architectural, intervention will blow you away!

This nomadic bar that will be moving around to different locations throughout Next Wave Festival in Melbourne- so find us, stop by for a drink, and get Closer Together!

What is an "ESKY"?

Just in case you don't know...

Esky
[From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia]

Esky is an Australian brand of coolers manufactured by Nylex. The name is a reference to the association of Eskimos with cold climates. The term has become a genericized trademark and as such is a colloquial term in Australia for any portable cooler.

The "Esky" was created by Malley's, a Sydney refrigeration business. The construction is made up of two layers: Polypropylene on the outer shell, with a polyurethane inner layer. This makes it lightweight and portable with great insulation. Originally the Esky had a steel outside shell.[1]

In New Zealand, coolers are colloquially known as "Chilly Bins".

*Esky is a registered Trademark of the Nylex Corporation.
